Dr Seung-Min Youn 

MBChB, FRACS, FAOrthA 

Dr Youn is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon, having completed his surgical training in New Zealand. In 2018, he became a FRACS and pursued his passion for shoulder and elbow surgery by completing two fellowships. The first was with Dr Ed Bateman in New South Wales, where he focused on shoulder, elbow and trauma surgery. The second year was spent in Seoul, studying under Prof Yong Girl Rhee, where he continued to hone his skills in shoulder surgery. Since then, Dr Youn has been working as a full-time SMO and shoulder and elbow specialist at the RBWH, STARS and TPCH since 2021. 

 

Dr Youn’s expertise in the field of shoulder surgery has led him to run the complex shoulder clinic monthly at TPCH, where he is highly regarded for his compassionate patient care and surgical skills. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Youn has a keen interest in research and has published numerous papers in major journals. He has also been actively involved in teaching and training orthopaedic trainees, and has a reputation for being an excellent educator.
